Home Video Day

Happening Saturday August 24th from 10 AM to 4 PM

With Home Video Day, we aim to bring a professional level of preservation, valuation, and exhibition culture specifically to videotape in an effort to connect people with the increasingly obsolete technology needed to view their home movies.

On the day, people can bring in their tapes for free inspection and repairs by trained archivists, access decks for playback, and even project their home movies on Whammy's big 4:3 screen. Additionally, there will be a VCR maintenance station so folks can learn how to clean their own decks! Lastly, we have educational zines and knowledgeable volunteers who can answer questions about preservation and digitization. And, of course, home video day-themed Bingo with prizes!

There are appointments avialable here!
